Hi, I’m Wilbert a handsome Maine Coon mix.  I am told that Maine Coons are often referred to as the "dogs of the cat world" because they seek out the company of people and are a gentle, loyal, friendly, playful, affectionate breed.  I don’t know about that because I’ve never met a dog, but I do know l love playing. Speaking of playing, you might have noticed I am blind but that doesn’t stop me! Once I’ve mapped out a room I’m running and jumping around just like any other kitten would do. I know where my litter box is and have never had an accident. Once I get tired I enjoy the cuddles and lap of my foster mom and dad.

My story: When I was only 5 weeks old I was brought into the Kern County animal shelter with my right eye missing (vet believed I was born without it) and my other eye so badly infected that it also needed to be removed. The Cat People of Bakersfield found out about me and took me out of the shelter. They contacted my foster mom knowing that she had fostered a blind kitten before and would know how to take care of me. That is how I came into Greyfoot’s care. My foster family is raising me to be healthy, loving, happy kitten.  I am now ready to be adopted into my forever home.  I hope that my being blind won’t stop you for considering me to be part of your family. Once I get to know your home, I really am just like any other kitten.  Kids must be 10 years or older.
